How do I see and respond to my Chat messages?

When you enable Chat + Conversations on your website, your customers can get in touch through a real-time chat, or, when you’re not available, through automated messaging.

Chat messages go to your GoDaddy Conversations inbox, and you’ll see them in both the iOS mobile app and on your website under Conversations.

You’ll also get an email message whenever a customer sends a Chat message. You can then respond in GoDaddy Conversations or directly through email.

Here’s how to see your messages and reply to your customers.

  1. Sign in to your GoDaddy Conversations mobile app.
  2. In the menu at the bottom of the screen, tap the Conversations icon.

    You’ll see a list of all your unarchived conversations.
  3. Tap the Chat conversation you want to respond to. The full Chat history will show.
  4. To respond, type a message in the box provided and tap GDCONVERSATIONS-conversations-icon-iOS Send.
  1. In a web browser, go to your GoDaddy product page .
  2. Scroll to Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
  3. From Dashboard, select Conversations. You’ll see a list of all your conversations.
  4. Select the conversation you want to see. The full conversation history will show, including any chats the customer had with your chatbots.
  5. To respond, type a message in the box provided and tap GDCONVERSATIONS-conversations-icon-iOS Send.


When a customer sends you a message through Chat, you’ll also receive an email containing the same message. Reply directly to that email as you would to any other email.

The message will be added to the conversation in the GoDaddy mobile app and on your website under Conversations. You can then continue the conversation on the app, your website or on email.
